Brief Wildlife Encounter

Hope you’re doing well. Today I wanted to share a brief wildlife encounter I had recently.

Earlier in the spring I filmed these amazing caterpillars. They had formed these incredible webs on the branch of this blackthorn tree. I believe they are tent caterpillars, and inside these webs these dark coloured caterpillars all group together and only venture out into the wider world when the weather warms up. They are often considered to be a bit of a pest because they often munch their way through the leaves of host trees, however I do think they are fascinating to watch.
